Grace
I have had opportunity lately to think about and practice gratitude; a lost practice for most of us unless we believe there is a reward of some sort attatched to the outcome. Cynical yes but true. It seems to me that in the search of inner spiritual and metaphysical growth their has become a "quick fix" attitude. People go on mass to one spiritual meeting after another, paying out money to become a master of this and that with little personal attatchment of growth. The piece of paper seems to be the altermant goal. Now I find that just sad. Growth to me means taking the time to understand a new idea or principle, to see how you can apply it to your life and weather that makes you a better person. Now it is about the amount of labels you can attatch to yourself. "What are you" is the question I flequently hear at random meetings I attend and the flow of never ending titles that are casually thrown around is astounding. Most are branded around with ego so attatched it again is so sad for me to watch. Where is the passion and belief in what you have learnt?
May be that's the problem; people have so much access to differnet ideas and principles and really only have to invest money to achieve a goal that the appreciation of the ideal is lost.The need to spend time homing a craft is lost. This instant society we are in has lost the point!
We are here to learn- yes - but also to attach and grow and add to that learning. We need to stop drifting along the surface because thats the easy route. We need to go into the energy and get messy and learn and heal, because if we don't we really miss the point of the exercise entirely.Life is messy and confusing at times and we-people-are equally messy and confused; we need to accept that about ourselves so we can move forward.
The art of Grace has been lost and needs to be found and honored once again. To be grateful and Gracious in life to have honor in the processes and in the people around us that is a place to start. We need to be less about "I" and more about "Us"
May the Grace of Spirit lift me
So I may in turn Lift the spirit of others.

My size
I am always suprised when my ego unexpectedly shows itself; I was out clothes shopping and tried on a outfit that was a few sizes smaller than I wear, and it fit......of course I bought it regardless of the fact that it wasn't what I wanted based purely on my ego jumping up and down about the label size. Now when I got home and hung it up next to another outfit I immediately noticed that it was in fact bigger than the dress next to it. A dress in my normal size!
Really you think I would be well aware of the 'industry' and the tricks they employee to fool us into buying things. I went back to australia not that long ago to visit family and had a conversation with a young girl from europe who was working in a clothing store on bondi beach in sydney. My daughter was trying on clothes in size aussie 12 in canada she would be a 10 and in usa an 8. The shop assistant was surprised we bought anything thinking we where american because 'they' the americans get really upset that they are in such big sizes in australia and that is just not right.
Really are we so stupid! We believe sizing over our scales. Marilyn Monroe was a size 12, in todays marketplace she would be running around saying she was a 8. We need to be in single didgits;really. I grew up a health size 10-12 now if I was that size I would be considered in the plus size market by the fashion industry.
We need to get a grip here- we are being supersized everywhere we go - we consume 50 percent more than the last few generations and we are all getting bigger. Except for our clothing sizes - one plus one folks - this is all a huge con. One of my closest friends is tiny in australia she is a size 6-8 in america she would be a 2 are you kidding me why are we so consumed with being considered a zero I mean grow the `f` up people and become real again. Maybe if we all stoppped being so blind we could actually become a real caring person once again, that issues not ego mattered, that what you are not what you look like was important here.
Just saying......

My Thought for the day
I sit in stillness and allow my thoughts to drift away from me....
I find that I then become aware again because my mind has decided
to become fixated on either a thought or idea that I had no idea I was holding onto.
This is a good time to work through it and let it go and then allow yourself to return to relaxation. Trying to ignore a thought or idea just doen not work, your mind will just reintroduce the thougth normally when you reach a deep level of peace.
We are equally simply as we are complex in our design, the quicker we realise this and work with ourselves the quicker we will resolve the issues we need to. We all have our own answers with in ourselves we just need to take the time to listen and to respond to them.
We often don't because we feel we are not good enough or wise enough to treat ourselves or we like the drama that ignoring issues will provide.
I believe we need to be O.K. with being simple and boring most of the time, because in reality for most of us that is who we are. If we can come into acceptance of that then we would feel so much better about ourselves and our lifes.
I believe we either create or hang onto drama because we then think we are
different or better than others around us. We need the adrenialian rush that we get because in alot of ways it feels better than the normalness of our every day life. We become add
icted to that rush.
We need to become attatched to our simply self and allow that to be a deeper part of who we really are.
We are all part of the human conciousness, all part of the sameness.....but we spend so much time and energy fighting that thought in oour aim to be unique....and the irony is once we accept our sameness our individual self well naturally shine!

FORTITUDE
RESOLVE, STRENGTH, INTERNAL FORTITUDE, MORAL COURAGE; WE ALL HAVE IT, SOME OF US IN ABUNDANCE OTHERS OCCASSIONALY ALLOW IT TO TRICKLE OUT WHEN BACKED INTO A CORNER. I FIND IT SAD THAT THE TRUE HERO IS UN-NOTICED, THEY GO ABOUT THERE DAY DISPLAYING ALL OF THE ABOVE AND NEVER ASK FOR PRAISE....THE SOLDIERS THE POLICE AND EMERGENCY RESPONDERS THE SINGLE PARENTS WORKING MANY JOBS AND THE LIST COULD GO ON AND ON.
WHO DO WE SEE SEEKING PRAISE FOR SEEMILY DOING THE RIGHT THING, THE POLITICIANS THE RELIGOUS RIGHT WINGERS, THE 'STARS' AND 'CELEBS' WE GIVE SO MUCH TIME AND ENERGY TOO.

APATHY
HAVE YOU TAKEN THE TIME LATELY TO CONSIDER WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU?
I MEAN, REALLY DON'T YOU FIND THAT WE ARE MAINLY DRONE LIKE...WE TAKE ON BOARD BELIEFS, NORMALLY WHEN WE ARE YOUNG AND IMMATURE, AND WE PLOD ALONG MINDLESSLY. THE ONLY TIME WE NORMALLY STOP AND RE-ASSESS OUR BELIEVES IS IF WE HAVE A MAJOR LIFE UPHEAVEL. IF WE ARE THAT APATHETIC TO OURSELVES WHAT ARE WE TO THE REST OF THE WORLD?
NOW MY QUESTION IS: HOW DO WE SHAKE OURSELVES OUT OF THIS MINDLESS BUBBLE WE ARE FLOATING AROUND IN? AND DO WE WANT TO!

LOVE AND LIGHT
I HAVE BEEN DIRECTING ALOT OF LIGHT LOVE AND HEALING TO THE PLANET AND TOO ALL OF THE PEOPLE BEING EFFECTED BY TORMOIL, DESTRUCTION AND HATRED. UNFORTUATELY THAT IS 3/4 OF THE WORLD. NOW I COULD SIT IT DOOM AND GLOOM AND BE THANKFUL FOR THE SAFE HAVEN I LIVE IN AND SAY THAT I AM BUT ONE WOMAN WHAT CAN I DO?
BE AWARE, BE CONCERNED AND STOP BEING PASSIVE. IF YOU SEE A WRONG, STAND TALL AND SPEAK YOUR BELIEFS! I BELIEVE WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF WE ALL GATHER OUR POSITIVE ENERGIES AND SEND THEM OUT TO PLACES THAT NEED IT. CURRENT I AM CONCENTRATING ON JAPAN. WINTER
WELL IT'S THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY AND I HAVE BEEN
BURRIED UNDER A MOUND OF NEVER ENDING SNOW. ON TOP OF THAT
OUR NORMAL ALBERTAN BLUE SKIES HAVE BEEN A BLEAK GREY AND THAT
IS REFLECTIVE OF HOW I FEEL! BEING HOUSE BOUND BECAUSE THE WEATHER
IS TOO COLD TO BE OUT IN AND THE ROADS TO HAZARDOUS TO DRIVE CERTAINLY
CAUSE ONE TO BE BOTH CREATIVE AND CONTEMPLATIVE.
AS I SPEND A GREAT DEAL OF MY TIME ALONE I HAVE ALL THE TIME I NEED
TO THINK ON THE JOURNEY OF LIFE THAT I AM CURRENTLY LIVING. THE INTERNAL
HERMET IS QUIET HAPPY AS MY CAVE IS REALLY COMFORTABLE AND I WANT FOR NOTHING, SOLITUDE IS MINE FOR THE TAKING. THE HELPER AND HEALER WITHIN IS
FULL OF APPREHENSION AS SHE WONDERS WHO HAS ANY NEED OF HER AT ALL! AS DOORS STAY FIRMLY SHUT AT THIS TIME. THE MYSITIC IN ME BELIEVES THAT EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A PURPOSE AND THAT ALL WILL BE WELL JUST KEEP BELIEF AND POSITIVITY GOING.

MY CURRENT JOURNEY IS ONE OF SELF DISCOVERY, OF BEING LOVING AND COMPASSIONATE TO MY SELF OF STOPPING DESTRUCTIVE HABITS AND TRYING TO BECOME OK WITH THE PATH I AM ON VERSES THE PATH I THINK I SHOULD BE ON. THE MIND IS BOTH FABULOUS AND SELF DELUSIONAL. LIVING IN THIS MOMENT AND NOT CREATING A SELF FANTACY IS HARD GOING. BEING OK WITH INACTIVITY AND NON ACHIEVEMANT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS.
